Dorado Beach, a Ritz‑Carlton Reserve
The sweeping 50-acre beachfront estate lies on the former Laurance S. Rockefeller property, where no building rises above the palms and sea-inspired relaxation is the order of the day.
The Vibe: Barefoot refinement in a colonial-meets-Caribbean setting. Oceanfront villas and suites are surrounded by lush tropical gardens, private coves, and the spectacular coastline.

Nekajui, a Ritz‑Carlton Reserve
Perched on the dramatic cliffs of Peninsula Papagayo, this new ultra-luxurious escape debuts as the first Reserve-branded property in Central America (“Nekajui” means “garden” in the Chorotega language). With 107 ocean-facing rooms, suites, and treetop tents, the design celebrates Costa Rica’s lush, emerald landscapes.
The Vibe: Understated yet sophisticated, the resort is built into the hillside and framed by verdant dry forest and Pacific vistas. Large glass doors open onto balconies or plunge-pool terraces. A suspended footbridge traverses the rainforest canopy, while an open-air tram ferries guests to a private beach club.
