Villa Sant'Andrea will open on 20th March until 3rd November 2025. Villa Sant’Andrea, A Belmond Hotel, Taormina Mare, is a charming beachside residence overlooking Sicily’s Bay of Mazzarò. Created over a century ago as a prominent Englishman’s summer home, it was transformed into an intimate hotel in the 1950s and went on to welcome a host of eminent guests, from Winston Churchill to Elizabeth Taylor and Al Pacino. Embraced by the Sicilian Sea, the villa offers a full immersion of the senses. Each light, lavish room and suite faces out on the water, so guests awaken every day to a soothing seascape. The villa’s charming Mid-Century Modern décor includes classical archways and columns, with oil paintings by local artist Alessandro Florio sitting elegantly alongside vintage Mimmo Rotella works. Geometric patterns pay homage to the region’s Moorish influences while colorful ceramics highlight Sicily’s rich craftsmanship.

A true highlight is the private pebbled beach, with the recently launched Lido Villeggiatura, A Villa Sant’Andrea Beach Club offering luxurious private cabanas, a vibrant bar, live music, cinema nights and beach games. The villa’s subtropical gardens provide a cool respite from the Sicilian sun, with open-air wellness treatments available among the fragrant blooms. Sublime tide-to-table seafood gastronomy delights the palate. Ristorante Sant’Andrea offers time-honored Sicilian recipes with a modern twist while fine dining Brizza serves just 16 diners right by the water’s edge. At laidback Brace Grill, grilled delicacies are savored alongside jazz tunes and at Bar Sant’Andrea, the true art of mixology is showcased. Tailor-made activities embrace nautical, culinary and volcanic adventures, from sailing to idyllic islands to exploring Mount Etna and sampling Sicilian wines. A 10-minute courtesy shuttle takes guests to enjoy the facilities of sister property Grand Hotel Timeo, right next to the ancient Greek Theatre in bustling Taormina town.

Located in both the main building and our separate annexe, Casa Manley, these double rooms feature either a balcony, a small terrace or a window with a wonderful view of the Bay of Mazzarò. They are all furnished with a king-size or twin beds and have a marble bathroom with a bathtub or a shower.

Deluxe Sea View Room With Balcony

Located in the main building or the pool area, these suites boast breathtaking views of the bay from their balconies. Each room offers a king-size or twin beds, an inviting sitting area and most feature a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and separate bathtub. Some rooms can be connected and the six suites in the pool building allow guests to occupy an entire floor.

Sweeping views of the Bay of Mazzarò are enjoyed from the balconies of these suites in the main building. Premium Sea View Suite

These spacious suites in the main building boast amazing sea views from their expansive terraces and balconies. One features a gazebo and one a shady awning. The stylish living area is the perfect place to relax and the generous bathroom includes a separate shower, bathtub and luxurious double basin. Connecting rooms available.

Mare Suite

Our sumptuous suite overlooks the clear waters of the Mazzarò bay, reflecting a local, artisanal feel with elements of wood, ceramic and furniture inspired by local Sicilian craftsmanship. A living room with panoramic views and a terrace with armchairs and a table are an ideal spot to lay back and soak up the panoramic sea views. Villa Sant'andrea Suite

Our sumptuous suite is characterised by simple lines in harmony with the colours and natural features of the environment. Overlooking the clear waters of the bay, it reflects the locale with elements of wood, stone and flowers and furniture inspired by local Sicilian craftsmanship. The marble bathroom boasts a beautiful freestanding tub with copper and brass finishes. Captivating artwork recalls classic movies and Taormina’s film festival. Ionica Pool Suite

For those seeking the ultimate space, this suite offers two bedrooms, a lavish separate living area and two bathrooms, one with a separate bathtub and shower, the other with just a shower. Stunning sea views are afforded from the expansive 60 sq m terrace, a blissful sanctuary furnished with a gazebo, sofa and bench. It also boasts a 2x6m heated private pool and a 40 sq m wooden solarium furnished with table and chairs, sunbeds and umbrella. The terrace’s decor blends lava rock, colourful Caltagirone ceramics, Sicilian terracotta and wrought iron. Beautiful plants and flowers create a connection with the natural surroundings. Located on a terrace facing the beach this is an idyllic place for an espresso, lunchtime pizza or a cocktail accompanied by music entertainment (from 19:00 daily). A fully-refurbished indoor area is open every evening for a special after dinner treat.

Brizza

Dine by the water’s edge with local seafood and premium ingredients at our fine-dining restaurant, limited to 16 guests - an immersive culinary experience with Sicilian delicacies and exceptional wines, including rare Sicilian labels refined at sea. Open in the summer months.

Brace Grill

Our coastal grill with a Sicilian soul for a new dining experience at Bar Sant’Andrea. Gourmet or traditional pizza and grilled specialities from the Josper oven are served until 22:30. Open daily, from May to September.
