Golf is another main attraction here, with the resort’s 7,500-yard Black Desert Golf Course bringing the PGA Tour to Utah for the first time in more than 60 years. Sculpted into the lava rock and cliffs, this is the last course designed by the late Tom Weiskopf, the pro golfer who went on to design more than 70 esteemed golf courses. A Golf Academy also hosts clinics, camps, and schools.

Guestrooms and suites are designed in quiet harmony with the desert surroundings. Four distinct collections—Hotel, Resort, Terrace, and Plume Wellness—feature clean lines, natural materials, and expansive terraces. Families can spread out in multi-bedroom villas with full kitchens, while wellness seekers unwind with circadian lighting, CBD-infused pillows, infrared blankets, and aromatherapy mists made from local botanicals.
Between adventures, there’s always time to recharge. The Plume Spa offers 15,000 square feet of restoration with wellness programming, sound baths, and locally guided self-care experiences. Treatments such as the Lava & Ice Vitality Massage alternate warmth and coolness to mirror the landscape’s extremes, while the Longevity Lounge introduces modern therapies like Salt Inhalation Boosts, Dry Cryo Float sessions, and zero-gravity loungers.
The six dining venues also draw from the resort’s surroundings. Lava Love fuels early-morning explorers with coffee and house-baked pastries, while at Basalt, regional meats, farm-fresh produce, and artisan cheeses anchor the menu. Oasis is a rooftop taqueria serving fresh flavors and refreshing margaritas under the desert sun, and 20th Hole keeps things lively with an all-American menu, oversized TVs, and Trackman golf simulators.
