Oceania Cruises is making big waves in the culinary world, thanks to new chefs, new restaurants, and new menus.

Since its inception, Oceania Cruises has made the dining experience on its ships a top priority with thoughtful, creative restaurants and renowned chefs leading the way—namely Chef Jacques Pépin, who joined Oceania Cruises in 2010. Now, as part of its “Relaxed Yet Refined” dining concept, more noteworthy names have come onboard, bringing their bold ideas and expert leadership to the fleet of seven small ships.
Here are eight ways Oceania Cruises is redefining what it means to dine at sea.
1. More than 10 wonderfully diverse restaurants can be discovered aboard Oceania Cruises’ ships, including a Parisian-style bistro from famed Chef Jacques Pépin (Jacques), an authentic Italian trattoria (Toscana), a spot devoted to contemporary riffs on Asian cuisine (Red Ginger), a classic steakhouse (Polo Grill), and an elegant California-inspired eatery (Ember).
2. This year, Oceania Cruises named Giada De Laurentiis—the celebrated Italian-American chef, author, restaurateur, and Emmy Award-winning food personality—as its new Brand and Culinary Ambassador. Keep an eye out for her signature dishes at Toscana and the Grand Dining Room.
3. De Laurentiis is also co-chairing Oceania Cruises’ new Culinary Advisory Board alongside renowned chef Jacques Pépin, a founding member of Oceania Cruises’ culinary team and its original Executive Culinary Director.
4. If you’re a guest of Marina, Riviera, Vista, or Allura, be sure to make time to experience La Reserve, where wine and champagne take center stage with dishes created to accompany them. One of the most coveted reservations? The Dom Pérignon Experience, which pairs three of the house’s best new vintages with six exquisite courses.

5. The menu has been beautifully revamped at Waves Grill, the poolside venue where dining is always al fresco. Dishes include a Wagyu beef burger with lobster medallions and truffle mayonnaise, plus fresh salads and hand-cut fries, while a cold-pressed juice and smoothie bar is just steps away.
6. Chef Alexis Quaretti and Chef Eric Barale are Oceania Cruises’ new Executive Culinary Directors, making Oceania Cruises the only cruise line with two Master French Chefs.
7. A tribute to Europe’s five-star hotel restaurants, The Grand Dining Room is dignified yet inviting with decor in rich woods, tapestry fabrics and oversized armchairs. Be sure to sample the new Executive Chef’s Tasting Menu, which features the freshest seasonal ingredients that change every day.
8. Vista features an innovative onboard bar program devoted to cocktail-crafting trends and techniques, and the ultimate in wine pairings. Highlights include beverages topped with flavored smoke bubbles, Negronis aged in wooden barrels, and creative rum blends.
