Navigate the Seine with Viking.
As Audrey Hepburn famously said, “Paris is always a good idea.” While few will argue with that, it is possible to improve upon it. Paris is an even better idea when experienced from the vantage point of a purpose-built Viking Longship.
Currently, the award-winning river voyage company boasts four Viking Longships customized to navigate the Seine River. Each one docks in the heart of Paris, just a short walk from the Eiffel Tower. Viking’s Fjorgyn, Kari, Radgrid, and Skaga are known for their innovative engineering, streamlined Scandinavian design, and understated elegance — each thoughtfully planned to bring passengers closer to each destination, while providing unprecedented levels of comfort. Spacious staterooms with full-size verandas, the largest suites available on any river in Europe, and exceptional al fresco dining options are just the start. The vessels also feature a hybrid propulsion system equipped for shore power to reduce reliance on fuel while in port and solar panels, which further contribute to the ships’ energy efficiency.
In 2025, this family of four will become five, when a new, yet-to-be-named Viking Longship will be added to the Seine River fleet. Like her sisterships, she’ll sail the popular Paris and the Heart of Normandy itinerary and enjoy Viking’s exclusive docking location at Port de Grenelle.
Over the course of eight days, Paris and the Heart of Normandy guests are treated to France’s finest offerings in art, history, cuisine, and tradition. Explore Giverny — the inspirational setting for many of Claude Monet’s most awe-fill masterpieces. A visit to the beautiful gardens and charming farmhouse where he lived and worked are a must for any art lover, as is a day spent at the Louvre. History buffs will find the hallowed ground at Normandy’s American Military Cemetery and the beaches of World War II nothing short of spellbinding. Visiting landmarks such as Omaha Beach and the Caen Memorial Museum is a truly sacred experience. Culture aficionados can trace the steps of Joan of Arc, a patron saint of France, war hero, and religious martyr, and see the very spot she paid the ultimate price for her faith. Pay homage to your own while meandering through any of the centuries-old Gothic cathedrals. A stop by the famed Shakespeare & Co bookstore is a literary lover’s dream come true, while a food tour highlighting the region’s culinary contributions is sure to delight your tastebuds. Learn the fundamentals of wine — including pouring, pairing, and decanting — to complement the experience.

The Viking difference: destination focused and culturally enriching.
