Fauna & Flora
Discover Celebrity Cruise’s latest
high-tech Galápagos ship.
Designed exclusively for sailing the Galápagos Islands, Celebrity Cruise’s Celebrity Flora is Ecuador’s first and only resort at sea to receive a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Rating. This revolutionary ship was concepted with the help of 3-D technology, which allowed Celebrity’s designers to use virtual reality to “see” the ship before it was ever built and ensure both destination and environment were at the forefront of every decision made. The end result? The most state-of-the-art yacht to ever sail the region.

The vessel boasts an Infinite Veranda system to blur the boundary between indoors and the surrounding nature. Other indulgences include menus from Michelin-starred restaurants, personal suite attendants, and a “Galápagos Glamping” option that allows passengers to sleep under the stars in comfy cabanas atop the ship, where they can simultaneously view constellations in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
Celebrity Flora is also one of the most energy-efficient ships in its class, keeping true to Celebrity’s pledge to produce net zero emissions by 2050. Supplemental solar panels, an advanced propulsion system, hull configuration, and specially designed diesel engines combine to help reduce emissions, while the Flora’s dynamic positioning permits her to remain on station without dropping anchors, protecting the seabed. A special silicone paint allows for easy gliding and increased fuel efficiency. Other eco-friendly touches include in-room water filtration stations to reduce the use of plastic and a sea water conversion system that turns air conditioning condensation into pure, fresh water.

Sustainable initiatives extend beyond the ship, with community partnerships and environmental projects, including reforestation efforts on Santa Cruz Island. In collaboration with the Galápagos National Park, the company’s staff and guests have introduced more than 60,000 plants since 2014, helping to conserve altered ecosystems and provide food and shelter for native wildlife.
Celebrity also offers engaging and educational conservation programs, including onboard marine biologists who curate enriching presentations and excursions, and a ratio of one certified naturalist for every nine guests, ensuring all passengers can learn about the area’s unique ecosystem and connect with its pristine natural environment. After all, the Galápagos Islands are considered a living museum, where evolution can be seen in real time and some of the planet’s most exotic and adapted animals thrive. It’s the only place you’ll find penguins north of the equator, marine iguanas, giant tortoises, and of course the beloved blue-footed booby.
You’ll always remember the islands that time forgot. Join Celebrity Cruises for a rare, life-changing experience.

I began my travel career by attending a vocational college after high school to be certified in the travel industry. My focus at the time was hotel management. Then I started to realize that if I worked for a hotel, I was limited and I didn’t want limitations on my career. I decided to be a travel consultant. I worked for a large travel agency for 4 years and was promoted to management. I learned a lot by working at the agency, met incredible people and got to travel the world, but I decided to break away from the agency and become a home-based agent by partnering with OASIS. This group of independent travel agents is affiliated with Palm Coast Travel, which is a member of the Signature Travel Network consortium. Palm Coast and Signature have amazing relationships with the top-suppliers across the world which is why I am able to provide my clients with the best prices.
