Four Urban Escapes
IHG Hotels & Resorts custom-designed a quartet of indulgent city getaways.
The world’s most vibrant cities are home to awe-inspiring landmarks, inspiring cuisine, diverse culture, timeless charm, and, most likely, a luxurious homebase with IHG Hotels & Resorts. Each of the collection’s properties are hand-selected for its rich heritage, personalized service, and lavish amenities, such as these four destinations in iconic cities.

Rome, Italy
Six Senses Rome
The Eternal City is a rich tapestry of ancient architecture, centuries-old masterpieces, and modern delights. The Six Senses Rome puts you right in the center of it all. Located in the meticulously restored Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini—a 15th-century building along the bustling Via del Corso—the hotel is just steps from the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and luxury shopping districts. During a multi-year restoration project, the building’s original pillars, grand staircase, and marble-clad spaces were carefully preserved and beautifully enhanced by contemporary finishes and large windows providing ample natural light. A subtle nod to the Roman empire, the spa’s new Roman baths are a thoughtful and exquisite touch.

Barcelona, Spain
InterContinental Barcelona
Modern luxury meets Catalan charm at the InterContinental Barcelona. Situated in the heart of the Montjuïc district, the hotel boasts breathtaking views of the harbor and is perfectly located near many of the city’s top cultural landmarks, including Antonio Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia and Casa Batlló. Sleek and open common areas allude to the spacious and modern accommodations, while haute cuisine and endless views create picture-perfect moments on the rooftop terrace and restaurant, which share space with a stunning outdoor pool and solarium.

Paris, France
Kimpton St. Honoré Paris
Housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century building, the Kimpton St. Honoré Paris is a glorious sight with its preserved Belle Epoque façade embellished with turquoise balconies and arched bay windows. The interiors are equally impressive, as the 149 guest rooms and suites are gorgeous examples of true Parisian design with parquet floors, elaborate moldings, and Chanel-inspired black and cream curtains. The hotel is centrally located in the city’s Opéra district, just minutes from the renowned Opera Garnier, Faubourg St Honoré, Tuileries Gardens, and the Louvre, making it a prime base for a holiday in the City of Light.

Santa Monica, CA
Regent Santa Monica Beach
For those who desire an easy, passport-free urban escape, the recently opened Regent Santa Monica Beach is a wonderful choice. Just steps from the Pacific, the beachfront oasis blends coastal tranquility with the allure of Santa Monica and its hub of art, design, and culinary stars. The “smallest” of the property’s 143 guest rooms boasts an impressive 720 square feet of space, while the grand Santa Monica Suite is 3,200 square feet of opulence with incredible ocean views, separate living, dining and gaming rooms, and a balcony replete with a firepit.

Some of my favorite memories come from traveling. Since I was young, we have always traveled to the Caribbean, to Disney, and to some amazing places which has only made me love travel more! I love the soft sandy beaches, the clear blue seas and the warm sun above while reading a book or watching my children play! I also love having adventures such as zip lining through the Costa Rica Rainforest or snorkeling of the coast of Aruba with the the fish surrounding you!
I love travel so much, that my husband and I had a destination wedding with the Disney Cruise Line. We were married on the Disney Dream in January of 2015 and I loved every second of that trip! Disney is my specialty! I love the Disney parks and the cruise line and find myself always reading up on the latest events to reviews about all the different and amazing restaurants Disney has to offer. If you are looking for an amazing Disney vacation, not just your typical ride the rides kind of trip, have a consult with m ...
